Blaster master ... Ray Jones rigged up in grit-blasting gear for work on the Bounty replica, which is on a 19-day lay-up at Garden Island. The 17-year-old tourist vessel needs a $150,000 facelift including a new mast made of douglas fir from the Snowy Mountains - timber renowned for its straightness, strength and height.
